James Walker is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Licensed Public Accountant, and a Licensed Trustee in Bankruptcy with over 30 years of experience specializing in helping startups, owner-managed corporations, sole proprietorship businesses, and entrepreneurs. His practice is centrally located in the heart of Mississauga and offers services such as personal and corporate taxes, bookkeeping, payroll, and year-end financial statements.
A graduate of the University of Waterloo, James received his Bachelor of Mathematics (B. Math) then his Chartered Accountant designation (CA). He began working for Touche Ross & Co. (now Deloitte) where he worked doing audits and receivership. After receiving his Trustee’s license he worked in insolvency and receivership for Touche Ross Limited. With the changes in the Canadian accounting profession, Jim received his Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
Jim became a partner at a national accounting firm Collins Barrow. He became the first president of Collins Barrow’s National Insolvency Company as well as organized their small business and accounting & consulting division.
Jim left Collins Barrow to take over a small start-up carpet company that was doing 1 million a year in sales. Four years later Walker Mills was doing over 16 million in sales. In 1991 Jim decided to start his own accounting and insolvency practice.
